The story behind meeting Ian is sort of funny (well I’m sure Ian doesn’t think its so funny, & it wasn’t funny to us at the time). You rode the bus home starting in Kindergarten and you would always talk about Ian (a kid who rode your bus) and would take me on tours around Bardsdale just trying to find his house. Of course I had no idea who this kid was! I tried to have you get his phone number so I could call his Mom and get you guys together. But with you in Kinder, it just never worked out!
I was subbing one day at the preschool and got a phone call from the principal! I guess you had bit Ian on the bus the day before. I was just shocked! You just didn’t do that kind of stuff. I was so concerned and worried about what you had done and why. We talked about it and you were telling me that he was bugging you or something like that. Finally called Ian’s parents and we apologized and you went to Ian’s house to apologize to Ian face to face. Later that week we invited Ian over to play. You guys have been best friends for a long time and hopefully for many more years! Its so neat that you three have been in the same class too (1st & 2nd grade). Mommy hopes that continues while you are in elementary school. This year all three of you are on the Dodgers little league team too, which is a bonus!
That IS really cool! We have been praying and looking for the right families for our kids friends, too. We meet plenty of nice people, but sometimes it’s hard with everyone’s schedules to find the family that just “clicks”.
