Easter Story

Every year I (Spring) get to teach the Easter story at chapel time at the preschool, as well as Sunday school, Awana and to my own boys. Its my favorite Bible story to share! Its always a blessing to be able to share the good News of Jesus Christ, especially around this time of year, although its great to share anytime!! Normally I use the Resurrection eggs. In each egg there is a miniature symbol of the Easter story inside. I switch them up a bit. I use a sponge with vineger on it to show what they might have offered Jesus to dring while he hung there on the cross, and I put some thorns in the crown egg as well. Just to make it more visual for the kids.
I like to also use Flannel or this year I’m using some really great Bible story cards. They are beautiful. Almost like paintings. They really bring to life the TRUE story of the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Every time I do this lesson: I think of what He did for us, what He actually went through! I like this quote from one of the story cards I’m using this year!

“Although the torture of the crucifixion is indescribable, the time of His greatest suffering was when God laid on Him the sin of us all”. As He the sinless Son of God became sin for us, God poured out His wrath and hatred of sin and punishment on His own precious Son!” Just thinking about that, His Grace is a amazing! He won the victory over sin, death, hell and the Devil! Praise you Lord! He opened the way into Heaven for all who believe on Him! What a glorious thing! What a Happy Easter! He is alive forevermore! And I can’t wait to meet Him face to face!

I remember using the eggs that I made up too.
These look really nice. They have a good way of telling a wonderful message. I am so glad you are able to do it for the preschool.
    Love, Mom
