So we started EARLY this morning! Got the boys up like we do every year (just a bit earlier!) They went outside to pick flowers for Granma and off we went. They went DING DONG and ran and hid. Granma was excited and the boys came running inside, thrilled to do “May Day” once again. We used to do this when we were little all the time (all day long). Little did Granma know this was part of a “sting operation” this morning. Rob, Lacey and John David were here too from MO. They proceeded to put JD at the front door with flowers and a balloon. I ran out to get some pictures of the “surprise” in action. All of us have been keeping this secret for a while now. She was totally surprised!

I am so glad it worked out prefectly! How sweet! What a neat tradition! I’ve never heard of anything like it! I love the look on your mom and dad’s face!! And the boys all playing together, too sweet!
I’m glad you were able to get pictures of the big surprise! Hope said you could hear her from her house!
I can’t believe how BIG JD is getting…so cute!

That’s so much fun!
Our doorbell rang this morning and my mom had made little consturction paper caves and pur fresh flowers in them for each kids. They get such a kick out of the surprise.
That’s great! We haven’t done May Day with the kids yet. Maybe we should start next year. I always got a kick out of surprising neighbors…
What a super surprise! I just can’t even imagine how shocked they were! The boys all look so cute together!
I never even heard of this May Day tradition before, but it sure sounds like fun!
Looks like it went well!!
Indeed it was quite a big surprize. A great one, I will never forget. He is so sweet and it is so swell to have Lacey and Rob her too. 🙂
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Love MOM
