Our 9th Anniversary & Miscarriage

Tried to get a couple pictures of us today. The smiles are masking our heartache though. We did find out today that I am for sure miscarrying. The numbers were going down (at 53 today). I think I was sort of holding on to a little hope of the numbers going up again. I’ve been extremely, extremely tired the past few days.
We are thankful to have each other! We went to Ojai for our afternoon and evening. The boys stayed the night with Pop and Granma Holladay. We spent the day walking and visiting some fun spots. One being a cool used book store, some cute shops, and to a park to visit. Thanks to our friends Steve and Jenny for giving us an idea of an “Anniversary Talk”. Something we hope to do every year. Some of the questions we ask (that also spurs on discussion):-What have you learned this past year about the other person?
-What have you learned about our marriage this past year?
-What things do you feel the other person needs to work on/improve and/or change in their life?
-What goals do you think we need to set for our marriage and our family looking forward to this new year?
Then we had a really nice dinner at the Ranch House. It was very pretty and nice! Yummy food too. We were both starving. It was good to get away, just the two of us. Time to talk and reflect. God is good and just like the song says at the bottom of our page…. “this is what it mean’s to be held” We know He is holding us and helping us through this time, even though its been tough.
