Our back yard table shattered in the wind. Actually the umbrella blew out of it and caused the whole table to shatter. 🙁 The boys threw oranges at the rest of it to get the rest of the glass out so Brian can take it down later and throw it away. Maybe we will get a new set for Christmas this year! This one was pretty thrashed anyway.
The same thing happened to us not long ago. Now we’re extra careful to put the umbrella away when its windy! It sure makes a mess, doesn’t it?
My kitchen table did this once!!! I had taken out the glass to clean it & I was carrying it back to the kitchen & it shattered out of the blue! I hadn't banged it on anything at all, it just shattered right in my hands! I was standing barefoot in the middle of it on my kitchen floor & Aly was sitting in her carrier & some of the glass went into the seat with her!!! Thankfully I could reach my cell phone on the counter without moving & Andy had left for the store, but was only like 2 minutes away, so he rushed back to help!!! I'll never buy a glass table top again!!!
