Adam is so funny. He reminds me at home … “Mommy, remember to say goodbye to me, and say I love you, and give me a hug at school before you leave.”
He tells me this like I don’t remember to do this already! I always say “Adam, I always do that and won’t forget!!” He’s sort of OCD about these kinds of things. Even saying good bye to anyone…. he’s got to do it a few times and if he thinks he forgot to give a hug or say good bye or something he flips out. Nighttime too…. saying goodnight… same thing!
Adam is so funny 🙂 Hopefully this reminding is just a phase and not actually OCD!!! I know I was very particular about things when I was younger I remember always needing my hair to be perfectly smooth and I’m sure I drove my mom nuts having her redo it for me and also when she would paint my nails too! 😛
I’ve actually wondered about Adam having this… at least somewhat! he’s shown signs before but hopefully it is a phase. I guess he cried today for just a few mins. needing to say goodbye again to me! I was very good with my goodbyes today though, and extra hugs and everything! Hmm…. not sure….
I know the little bot I used to babysit during college got very anxious for awhile out of nowhere just needed me there right after school waiting for him and would be quite panicked if I wasn’t there (which unfortunately happened once or twice due to traffic) In the mornings I would have to park and walk up with him to his classroom and wait for the bell to ring and walk back to the classroom with him when before I would just drop him off and he would go running off with his friends, it did pass though!
