A few things to update on…..

First off the baby seems to be doing well. I’m 16 weeks today!

How your baby’s growing:

Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he’s about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren’t recognizable yet. He’s even started growing toenails. And there’s a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

I’m still feeling the little one move off and on. On Sat. night I got sick with a cold. Sunday I even had a slight fever and Monday began coughing. With me the cold/ cough activates my asthma. Not a great thing especially when I’m pregnant! So I’ve been having these bad cough attacks. I think my body is trying to open those airways that are getting closed! My inhaler isn’t helping much. So I made an appt. with my family dr. tomorrow. I’ve got to be able to breathe. I hate the fact of taking meds. but I do need to breathe for me and the baby! In Aug. I had something similar and she gave me a Z-pack antibiotic and I was cleared up in a few days! I’m suppose to go into my OB GYN on Friday for a check up. Those of you brothers and sisters in Christ…. I could use your prayers!

THE HOUSE:
Things are moving along nicely. Brian has been working long hours these days and is in need of a break for sure! Up early and home later. We are definitely ready for our family times back! I’m really wanting to make dinners again and all sit together! I can’t wait til that can happen again! Soon we hope! I’m busy packing away at home. We hope to finish up some touch up texture spots tonight, then tomorrow finish painting (we hope) and cabinets installed. Flooring should be in Friday and Sat and then moving in!

THE BOYS:
Gregory is ready for this year to be over. We have had a little trouble with his teacher this year and he hasn’t been as happy. I think we are all ready for Summer break! Gregory’s last baseball game will be Sat. He’s had a fun year. Especially enjoying pitching! Hopefully he’ll get another chance at it before the season is over!
Adam just graduated from his last year of preschool today. I will post pictures in another post. He was such a cutie pie and keeps saying he’s not ready for kinder! He will be though! He says he just doesn’t want to go to school EVERY day like Gregory. He thinks he’ll miss me too much. I know I’m gonna miss my lil’ Adam!
