Our first Camping Trip

We really did have a wonderful vacation! I took way too many pictures, but will share with you a sample here! We headed out early Friday morning. I didn’t get a good night sleep Thursday, so it made for a very tiring Friday for me! However, we made it to our nice campsite. Set up camp and all was going great (except for me being so worn out). We went on a hike to see the General Grant tree and some other neat sites. We decided to just eat at the cafe that night. The nights sleep didn’t go so well. Brian and I both didn’t sleep the best, and I was up most of the night running to the bathroom. I think the baby was perched on my bladder! He sure moved A LOT that night. I don’t recommend camping for pregnant people (unless you are used to camping!)
So Sat. morning we made breakfast (thanks Annette for all the cooking stuff). and packed up our campsite. We headed to the Visitor center so the boys could become Jr. Rangers. They both passed their little JR. Ranger books and got badges for becoming Jr. Rangers. It was really cute!
Adam brought his own money to buy a pocket knife. He feels very proud to have one. Although many rules came with the pocket knife!! He and Gregory both had fun “widdling” wood by the campfire.
Spring with her little Adam.
Brian caught a beautiful sunset at our SUNSET campsite.
Cooking breakfast Sat. morning
The Boydon cave was really neat. It was a steep hike to the cave but pretty short to get up to it. It was nice that it was 55 degrees in the cave because we were all soo HOT!
In front of the “christmas tree” It really does kind of look like one.
Stopped at HUME LAKE for a picnic and a swim in the lake.
Sunday it was off to Brayden’s Birthday Party! Brayden in our nephew and they live in Chester Ca.
The boys with cousin Brayden
I think this is just the cutest picture! Uncle Brian with his nephew Brayden. They resemble each other don’t they?!
Family showed Gregory with gifts too since his Birthday is next week! Thank you all for thinking of him! He was sooo thrilled!
Star War books! What fun!!He and Uncle Levi tried this out today! Thanks Grandma Jessup and Dave!!
The pools were a HIT at the party!! Adam pretty much was a fish the whole time! It was pretty hot outside!

Great Uncle Jim fighting the JEDI MASTER ADAM 🙂 Thanks for the lightsabers!
Happy first little guy!!! 🙂 So glad we got to be there!

You got some great shots! Looks like camping was a blast. I don't know about Brayden looking like Brian, but those curls definitely remind me of Laura when she was little 🙂

Such great shots. Sorry tent camping didn't go so well, but it looks like you still had a great time.

Where exactly did you camp? Looks like a fun place. My heart leaped a little when you mentioned Hume Lake. I went to winter & summer camp there every year for years, & then even went as a councilor a couple of times. Miss that place so much!!
