I can’t believe its NOVEMBER!! Wow, is this year ever going fast!
Been a busy week it seems, although just seems more hectic since Luke has this cold. He’s not the best “sick patient”. He’s very needy, needs mommy anytime he’s awake, and if I’m not in arms reach, he’s not a happy camper! He’s been waking in the night again too. I think its his cold and teeth combo that is bugging him! Poor little guy!! Praying he feels better soon and that the rest of us don’t get the cold!!
Despite Luke’s sickness and teething…. he’s getting around and is standing more and more all alone. He took a couple steps but hasn’t braved many more! He’ll be on the go and crawling no more soon enough! My baby is growing way to fast for my liking!
Today was pretty busy since I decided to make two bathes of bread from scratch. Now I’ve got one loaf ready to eat, one in the freezer, and a whole double batch of dinner rolls made up ready to RISE for dinners all month! The boys love the bread I make and I love it too because its super yummy and healthy too! We’ve started getting some of our food in bulk from AZURE STANDARD. Our next delivery is November 16th. The one frustrating thing is that you aren’t guaranteed to get everything. So in my last order I didn’t get all my stuff. That was a bummer. Adam had a blast helping the guy unload the truck !
I’m enjoying making and doing things from scratch. I actually find it kind of fun and rewarding. We are enjoying our new challenge to eat more whole and organic foods. Even though they don’t want to admit it, I think the boys enjoy it too! I’m saving a lot of money by meal planning, making the boys lunches (except for a couple times a month they eat in the cafeteria), buying in bulk, eating out a lot less, and spending less in other areas! I must admit cooking from scratch takes a lot more time, I find my kitchen is a mess and has to be “re-cleaned” many times a day! I need to start planning more and get better at having a “baking day” instead of doing it here and there. I’m sort of new to all this and its been fun!
Gregory is starting basketball this season! He’s super excited. Brian is going to help coach as well and seems excited for that too. His first game will be December 4th and ends on Feb. 26th. We picked a coach that is a dad to one of Gregory’s friends. He seems like a really neat guy. Gregory is enjoying his new friendship with Christian as well.
Adam will be testing soon for his yellow belt in Karate! Brian made him a DVD of all the moves so he can practice, which has been helpful.
I can’t believe Adam will be 7 in less than 10 days! He wants a KARATE Birthday Party this year. The cake is gonna be a challenge! I’m up for it though.
Both the boys are doing awesome with their Awana, and seem to memorize so easily! Wish I could do it like they can!! They can’t wait for Wed. nights, they enjoy Awana!
Gregory is going through Hebrews for is morning Bible time, and so is Brian. We’ve encouraged him to jot down notes and questions as he studies. We’ve challenged him to dig in and study, and not just read through it.
November is a month we can think on all the things we are thankful for. The boys will be starting to add a feather each day to our little turkey to share what they are thankful for! Its a fun little tradition we do every year!
