Luke Samuel ( 16 1/2 months)

He’s doing so many fun things these days, so I gotta jot them down!
  • He loves his daddy so much! I mean, he loves me too and has many moments that he JUST WANTS MOMMY, but just gets soooo excited to see “DA”  From the minute he wakes, at lunch time and now after I’ve rocked, nursed and cuddled him at night.  He doesn’t want me to lay him down for “sleepy sleepy night night”, he leans and reaches for Daddy to come get him from me in the rocking chair.  He gets super excited once he’s with Brian and give me a kiss, waves Bye with a big grin on his face.  Its pretty special!!
  • He lays down for naps and bed normally without a peep! He snuggles up to the top of his bed in a little ball.  He does not want ANY COVERS on him nor anything near him.  We sneak in later to cover him.  Although those get taken off in the night. Its starting to heat up so I think he won’t need blankets much more anyway.
  • He loves to be OUTSIDE! One cute thing he does is comes to get me and wants me to follow him.  As I follow he turns around a bunch to make sure I’m still following him.  Normally its to the back door, so that I can open it for him.  He loves being outside to play and get dirty!
  • The other day we went out to Levi’s and he loves going out there to see all the chickens (he has a lot more than we do).  Luke gets so excited to go in with the “bawk bawks”.  He didn’t want to leave.  Cried for a while when we got in the car.  We got home and he immediately wanted out in the back yard.  Sometimes I’ll let him go back alone.  He went out to play while I put away things.  I went out to check on him.  He was no where in site.  The back gate was shut.  Where was he?? He managed to find his way in the chicken coop!!! Funny kid!!
  • Eggs are his favorites! We have them hard boiled a lot.  Brian collected our eggs the other day and Luke was all excited when he saw the eggs in Daddy’s hand and went to Brian hoping he’d peel it for him.  He didn’t realize that all eggs aren’t hard boiled!
