Its been a busy few weeks for us! Today was the last day of school. Summer begins for us! We are getting ready to head out for our trip to Colorado. We’ve got a full trip planned and reservations made. The boys are super excited! I’ll have some posts set up to POST while I’m gone (if time permits me to get a break to set those up) Its tough packing for all 5 of us for 10 days. Trying to remember it all! I’m not a big fan of packing. I’m thankful Brian normally does all the UN-packing when we get back. A blessing to get that break!
Gregory did a great job in the GATE play! I’m sorry I have yet to post pictures for that. The GATE teacher writes the plays each year. I’m guessing this is his eighth one. Very creative and fun for all the kids
Brian and Luke are over there strange little “fever” sickness. It lasted a few days. Luke’s ears are cleared up. We took Adam in today because he’s been complaining of ear pain (even crying about it) . As of now its just fluid, but a lot! We got an antibiotic to have on hand since we are leaving. Won’t use unless it turns to infection.
Gregory is done with 5th grade. Done with ELEMENTARY school. Such a sad time, but happy too! He’s growing up to be a fine young man! Can’t believe he’ll be heading on to middle school in August! Gregory said a lot of the kids were sad and crying today that it was the last day! His Awards assembly was nice and he did great this year. Made honor roll all 4 quarters. Also got an award for 100% homework.
Adam had a great 1st grade year and will be moving on to 2nd grade in August. He’s really looking forward to the Summer break! We wanted to thank Granma Holladay for all the “homework dates” she did each week. She was a good motivator for Adam and Adam enjoyed his special homework dates! I think this really helped Adam to have that one on one SLOW time to work and not be rushed through his work. Hoping she will be willing to work with him next year too! 🙂
We have a lot of fun things planned this Summer. First off we are going on our 10 day trip. We will get to see the Grand Canyon, 4 corners, Durango Co, Estes Park, Rocky Mtn. National Forrest, Rockies/ Dodger baseball game, Auntie Faith & Wayne’s wedding, steam engine train ride, hopefully lots of sites and fun things! We are driving, and some say we are nuts! However, I’ve got a lot of car things planned and we do have a DVD player. I’m thinking the older boys will do just fine. And Luke, well…. lets just say I’m praying and hoping he will do just as well!! Since I’m pregnant I will have to get out often to prevent blood clots.
It was great having Faith here for a few days! It was a fun bridal shower for her. Me and all my siblings are in her wedding. Should be fun! Adam is a ring bearer and Gregory is a Jr. groomsman. Luke will be in the nursery. Its right during nap time so hopefully he does OK!
