Gregory and Adam have been in a bike riding phase lately. Last night we heard giggling going on in their room. They were both getting dressed in their clothes for the morning. They said they were getting a head start and wanted to get up quick so they could ride in the morning before school. They were up and ready at 6:00 AM!!! It was still pitch dark outside though, so we didn’t let them go out until 6:30 to ride around before we left for school. I love that they are having fun riding!
We were suppose to do a family walk last night on the bike path, and the boys were going to ride. However I (Spring) just found out from my chiropractor that I might have plantar facitis. My heel has been KILLING ME for a couple months now. As soon as I step first thing in the morning or get up from sitting. Shoots pain! Its awful. I have really bad feet as it is. My theory is that I messed it up walking around barefoot, especially at the end of my pregnancy (more weight). So now I’m doing stretches, and wearing good support shoes all the time when I walk, even when I first step in the morning or get up in the night to feed. I have my shoes there by my bed to wear. I’m praying that I can get it to heal and that it won’t be an ongoing thing for me!! So for a time I have to stop by walking. Totally bummed about this, but I need this to heal up properly! If I don’t notice improvement in doing the stretches etc. I will go see a foot dr.
Spring, I have also recently been diagnosed with plantar faciitis (sp?) with the same symptoms that you have experienced. I went to a Camarillo podiatrist (Dr. Jon Williams) and he made foot impressions & ordered orthotic inserts for me. I will pick them up tomorrow. My regular doctor said it may take a couple of weeks but with ice therapy, avoiding bare-foot walking & extra foot support I should be as good as new. Just thought I would share because this can be very debilitating but it can be cured. Hang in there! Love, Donna.
Hi Spring,
I have had plantar fasciitis for about six years now. I had custom orthotics made and it has been very manageable. I now have them in all of my shoes. I know it causes a lot of pain, so hang in there.
Love, Kevin
