Date night with my Adam

Adam had a pretty rough day at school today.  I won’t post all the details here because its pretty embarrassing for him.  Let me just say I was LIVID with the substitute teacher! I’m going to meet with the teacher tomorrow.  I’m just glad little Adam got to end his tough day going on a date with me!
Such a busy time of year isn’t it? Fun but busy.   I took Adam Christmas shopping tonight and to Olive Garden (his choice).

I was reminded of the Christmas Little House on the Prairie.  You know the one where Laura buys the stove for her Mom and when they all are doing their little secret surprises for each other.  I love that Little House! We were in the Christian Book Store doing a little shopping.  Adam asked me to go look somewhere else because he needed to buy something.  He was done rather quickly and told me “it wouldn’t fit you so I didn’t buy it”.  The lady behind the counter asked if he wanted a little help.  I continued looking around and he finished his shopping.  When we got to the car he told me he wanted to get me a necklace but it when he went to buy it the lady told him it was for a little girl not Mommy’s.  So he picked something else out.  He was pretty cute and so excited about his shopping.  He has a little more shopping to do, then he’ll be done.  He’s so cute about his shopping too.  He doesn’t like suggestions! He wants to think and do it all himself, which is super special!

Dinner was yummy.  Adam loves Olive Garden.  Whenever we go we normally split a plate because they are so big.  He loves the peach tea too!

I spent most of my morning helping Mom out with some things at her house.  So I didn’t get a lot done in my house.  Brian and Gregory watched the babies and cleaned up the house tonight.  SO great to walk into a clean house after being gone all evening.

I love that he wants to shop with his own ideas! What a fun time for him that he'll always remember!
