The LORD is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
The LORD gives his people strength.
He is a safe fortress for his anointed king.
Psalm 28:7-8
God is faithful and we are so grateful for his unfailing Love and mercy!

With all the tests and the EEG Dr. Goldie believes that Gideon has
Benign focal epilepsy in childhood. Dr. Goldie has put Gideon on two medications three times a day. So far they seem to be doing alright.

This little Caterpillar was a big hit for him in the hospital.
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Det 31:8

Roni was one of our favotire nurses! She was so sweet and loved Gideon. As we went to leave she even told us she was moving to Fillmore and offered to babysit Gideon so we could go out! How sweet is that?! I went to school with her sister. Small world.

Thanks to Roni we got all Gideon’s medical records quickly and have them all ready for our appointment on Monday in Tarzana.
It has been told to us that Gideon might still have seizures until the meds get all the way in his system. There can also be “break thrus” and the dosage might need to be adjusted. We are anxious to get the 2nd opinion on Monday. Gideon is set up for a blood test in a couple weeks to check his liver and kidneys to make sure there isn’t a negative side effect of the medication for him. Praying there isn’t. We are also praying that he grows out of this condition.

Gideon was happy to get out of the hospital and on the road home!
Gideon is NOT sick! He just has a medical condition (as far as we know at this time).
We have to learn to not panic and learn how to read the seizures, keep a log and use Mommy instinct. Many children grow out of this. Hopefully Gideon will be one of those little guys!
