Camp for Gregory

Gregory went off to Summer Camp with our youth group at church yesterday until Friday. Big step! They went to Angeles Crest Christian Camp. The Theme this year is “There is an APP for that”

“There is a phrase that’s so common today:
“There’s an App for that.” We believe we can use that same phrase when
we talk about the application of God’s word to our lives. For every
situation there is an “app” from God’s Word that can help us deal with
our situation! Come to Angeles Crest Christian Camp Summer 2012 to find
God’s “App” for your life!!”

They have a neat guest speaker and a worship band too. Some of the activities he can do are, canoeing, paintball target range,
basketball, sand volleyball, digglers, (a cross between a bmx bike &
a scooter), archery, a climbing wall, the “trampoline thing”, hiking
trails, a game room, Frizbee golf, “Isaiah’s Perch”, the Zip Line,
Zaccheus’ Tree House, and “The Hut” the local hang out – a.k.a. our
“snack bar.”

I’m excited that he gets to go and have fun and hopefully let God grow him this week, spiritually. I put together a little pill/medicine container so each morning and night he opens it and gets to read the note and eat the m&m or candy inside. Cheryl did a note and my Mom did a few too. We also already mailed letters to him and I know that others did too, so he will get them at “mail call” at camp. Gregory seemed excited to go, but I could see him holding back some tears as he hugged Daddy good-bye on Sunday afternoon.

I actually found this note before he left. Isn’t this so sweet. He left it for me 🙂 Awwww! I love this kid! He’s already missed by all of us so much!
