notebook in the car so I thought I’d just type here since my laptop was next to me on the couch.
I read about being grateful for even the little things today. How often we forget even about those small things in life. Or maybe I take them for granted.
Eph 5:15-20
5 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I sat here thinking of all the things that I’m thankful for. The other day I started a list. Here are a few of the “tiny” things that may never really get put on a “list”.
chiropractor (because of my back). Nice to get it fixed and it feels better for a time.
wind (can’t say I love it) but its nice to clear the air and make me see our mountains better. I normally complain about the wind.
quietness
My neighborhood (even though I don’t LOVE living in town) we do have some pretty nice neighbors 🙂
boys teachers
boys school
my comfy couch
our pediatrician (who calls me and is genuinely concerned)
being able to breath clearly (after thinking about my brother Levi and all he’s been through, its good to be thankful for being able to BREATHE without a struggle)
blinds/curtains
our cars
my phone ear piece. Been enjoying lots of podcasts and book on “tape” while I work on other things. Also nice to be hands free when talking on the phone.
real mail in the mail box, especially letters or cards. Not as often anymore
my little Adam who just showed up…. so my list will have to end there.
Thanks for the idea of using my bluetooth to listen to things while I am working around the house! I never thought about using it for something other than talking on the phone!
