We wanted to have a little mini get-away for a night before the baby came. So we decided for May 4th since we had tickets to see Tim Hawkins comedy thing. It was only in WESTLAKE so we weren’t very far. But we turned it into a nice little time away. I stopped nursing Gideon at 19 1/2 months so we were good to go. Brian found a neat little bed and breakfast (Westlake Village Inn) and it was very nice and quiet and had a HUGE bath tub that I wish we had! 🙂 We started off with lunch at Marmalade. It was super yummy. Brian had a breakfast sandwhich and I had Chicken picatta and we shared some super yummy bread pudding.
That night we got to go see TIM HAWKINS. If you have never heard him, you need to! He is so funny. We were only 5 rows back from the stage. I DO NOT LAUGH. It takes something pretty FUNNY to make me bust up and Brian can tell you…. I laughed pretty hard at some of his stuff! I heard a lot of new things too. We have three of his dvd’s and its fun to hear new things.
We ordered breakfast in our room. Had a very loungy morning. Hannah took great care of our kids. We came home to the house spiffy and the kids did awesome, even at night!!
34 weeks pregnant. Feel like I could POP any time!
We ended our day with going to the movies. Haven’t done that in FOREVER! We saw Iron Man 3. It was good. Like the others, action packed. A little long for my taste in those kind of movies. Then we ate at a little mexican place in Moorpark.
A lovely time away. I gotta say these times are needed but I can’t stay away that long from home anymore. I missed the kids and so did Brian. Its still important to get away and make time for each other.
