When things in this life seem to get too hard for us to bear, we need to get our eyes off ourself and our life’s trials and put them on the Lord.  He gives us strength, we lean on Him for that strength.  Our feelings of JOY don’t come from these “interruptions in life, but the JOY comes from the Lord.  We will see that JOY when we look UP TO HIM! Rejoice in the Lord, even in times of trials, because our JOY comes from Him.

Habakkuk 3:17-18

17 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
    and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
    and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
    and the cattle barns are empty,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
    I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
