Feeling clarity and very blessed!!

I got a chance to go to dinner with Mrs. Rutland (the Fillmore Christian Academy 5th grade teacher).  After talking with her we feel that FCA will be the right place for Adam next year.  5th grade is tough, more work, and harder.  However, she is so willing to work with us and make accommodations to help Adam along.  Also she has a lot of experience with kids who have ADD.  She shared with me about a couple and how they accomadate.  I’m feeling much more peace about sending him there next year, and realize more and more that the k12 might not be best for Adam.   He’s happy at FCA.  He likes the friends he has there.  His fourth grade class is 5 kids, so they move up with him for 5th grade and I like that.  Mrs. Rutland thinks this is really good too for Adam to have that small group.  Her husband is a special ed teacher and knows a lot about ADD as well.  It was a helpful meeting.

Just praying we can get the medication sleep, & bed wetting) worked out to also help him along.  Mrs. Rutland said her dad had ADD and explained it like a TV remote, flipping channels quickly.  I asked Adam about this and it was as if a light bulb went off on how he could explain what goes on in his head with ADD.  It was interesting listening to him last night, explain how he thinks and how he easily gets distracted.

So, now we are just trying to play catch up and get papers in for Math (that he “lost”) and re-take tests to bump up the bad grade subjects he’s got now.  Teacher has been really great at making accommodations for this year as well.  Found some helpful apps on the ipad to help with spelling and things.

THANK YOU JESUS!
