We had this date set up MONTHS ago when we knew Brian’s Mom was coming. We couldn’t do an overnight because it was Gregory’s last week of school. However, we set out at 12 noon and was gone until 7:45 PM. It was nice and just zoomed by! The kids did great and we thank Cheryl for babysitting! I think we need this ONCE A MONTH!
Brian took me to the Santa Barbara pier where we ate (he got chowder in a bread bowl) and I got this CRAB that was amazing and really filled my CRAVING!
I had never CUT and had to work for my crab meat before. IT was kinda fun! We sat at a table out on the pier in the ocean. It was sunny and warm. Perfect day.
We then went to a few toy stores on State Street to get Titus a birthday gift. Then out to the beach to just lay and relax. WE have a bunch of chapters in Shepherding a Child’s heart that we have to read this week (homework for the counseling we are doing with Adam), so Brian read aloud two chapters. Playing in the sand without watching any kids try to run to the ocean is very therapeutic by the way! Then Brian was starving so we went to a new Mexican restaurant on State street.
