They don’t care the wall is still undone behind them ! ha ha! |
I just started a Bible Study called BREATHE making room for Sabbath by Pricilla Shirer. Loving it so far. Really making me think about my days and how I need to take time to just breathe and not be so busy with things. Its been convicting and helpful to me right now during this busy season raising 6 kids.
Brian gets to start his Men’s Bible study next week.
Pop is still in the Care Home in Santa Paula. He’s about the same and we try to see him a few times a week. Mom continues to go over one or two times a day. Been a long couple months of an emotional roller coaster at times with Pop.
Brian and I started up Juice Plus. Enjoying the benefits for us and our kids. Striving to learn more about health and eating better overall.
Lots of house projects still under-way. Almost finished with Gideon and Luke’s floor. Brian will finish that tomorrow. Then we have to paint the room.
Still need to paint the family room (all this painting is because dry wall was removed and replaced)
Finish moulding in Gregory’s room/laundry room
Finish the garage (floor, cabinets, cleaning/organizing)
Rip out bush in front yard that has millions of flies in it
All of these things take so much time and we don’t have that much time to finish. We need more hands to just get it all DONE!
This is a busy but great season in our life. We have 4 kids 5 yrs and under, a 5th grader and a high-schooler. I’m so glad we set Friday’s as “family friday” …. enjoy that time to just hang, movie night, kraftyball night, game night or all go out to do stuff together. Just a set aside time for this.
Was thinking just the other night………… How many weekends do we have left before Gregory graduates HS. Not very many! We have to make the most of these times. Take time to BREATHE and enjoy our kids, and train them up the way God would have us to!
And with that note….. I’m gonna take 5 min to rest on the couch before the troops wake from naps!

Reading books. Annie Mae is gonna like story time like the others. |
One book that has made a great impact on my life recently regarding establishing a Sabbath time is "Sabbath: Finding Rest, Renewal, and Delight in Our Busy Lives" by Wayne Muller. It was recommended by one of the pastors at my church and has been a real blessing! Take care! Love, Donna
