So we are really striving to do less. Less is more. Its tough to make those decisions with 6 kids all ranging in ages.
We aren’t heading up any ministries at church (AWANA or other things)
I stepped down from Children’s director at church
Brian isn’t playing in the church worship band right now
My Photography is slower
After a lot of prayer, Brian is stepping away from his side business and gonna focus on one job
We’ve decided that it is OK to say NO to even good things. Our church picnic is coming up and Brian and I have decided to get away to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We have to go that day because we want to be around for the RIVAL Santa Paula game on our anniversary (the 18th).
We are desiring a simpler life.
More easy going.
Less commitments, more family time.
We want to give our family MORE of us and MORE quality time too.
We decided to re-think the many projects we ALWAYS seem to have going on around the house. We constantly have SOMETHING and those SOMETHING’s are gonna have to go…. or at least be more spaced out. We have to do things around the house but we decided we need to include the kids more on projects.
Praying that God will lead and direct us to Train Up our kids in the way they should go!
This is everything we are striving for too! 🙂 I have read so many blogs and posts about this very thing learning to say no more and simplifying and really just deciding what we want as a family and how we want to live and trying to make that a reality within our budget etc….so no trips to Paris haha! 😉
