I remember visiting Pop one day at Vista Cove and he didn’t visit much at this time. Mostly sat, looked around. He did ask about Gideon though on this particular day.  It was out of the blue and when I came in,  he just asked “How Gideon was doing”.  At the time I found that question ODD because I had just got there and we hadn’t been talking of Gideon.  I kinda forget if I came alone or with Just Annie Mae at the time.

As I’m coming up on Jan. 23rd, I was looking through some hospital pictures of Gideon.  Jan. 23, 2012 was the start of the seizure condition.  Thankful he’s been off medication now since March and his last seizure was Jan. 2013.  When I was looking through the pictures, I started thinking about that day…. the day Pop asked about Gideon.  I wonder what he was thinking or praying.  I think Pop thought a lot. He was always a thinker and his mind was going until he took his last breath! I know it was! So thankful for his love for the Lord and Faith. It showed in him praying.

I know when Gideon went through all this Pop prayed.  Pop and Granma prayed a lot for Gideon and the whole situation. and for that I’m thankful.
