Pop served and was in the Vietnam war. He was in the area where they sprayed the most Agent Orange. It was “Area A” including DaNang which is where he was located. My dad suffered with Diabetes which is on the list of things that Agent Orange can bring on.
It seems like Veterans Administration holds out and waits until the veteran died so they wouldn’t have to pay up. Its all such a sad money making thing!
In 2014 they granted Pop disability for diabetes caused by Agent Orange. Pop didn’t even learn that his last 10 percent disability was granted. He died before they gave the final results. He was never 100% until after he died so he never got his free fishing license or admission into national parks that he really wanted.
Makes me sad!
“Vietnam veterans with illnesses caused by Agent Orange, continue to march into the Vietnam Wall to join their fallen brothers. These men and women will not be remembered as fatalities of the Vietnam War. Their names will not be engraved into the Vietnam Wall…yet they are still victims of the Vietnam War. These veterans have died slow painful deaths BECAUSE of their country and will not be remembered as dying FOR their country. This is truly a gripping photograph of the Vietnam Memorial in Rochester, New York.
HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE REALLY DIED BECAUSE OF THE VIETNAM WAR? THE ANSWER WOULD BE ASTOUNDING!
*This Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located in Highland Park, Rochester, New York. The bronze figure was carved by Wayne Williams, installed in 1996. The photograph is by Richard Margolis as part of the Rochester Public Art web site.”
