While I understand it is valuable and important to keep Christ the center of this special season, I also think its fun to build and have some fun traditions as a family.  One of these traditions in the Holladay family is tree decorating.  Mom always puts an ELF on the tree for each person in the family and now that tree is full of the little elves! She has one for every grandkid, and spouse too.  

Every year any of the family that lives around here gathers for dinner and then to decorate Granma’s tree, but first the elves go on in order from first to last.  Always a fun family time!  Some fun Christmas Traditions we have are

Getting a Tree, decorating it, decorating the house & outside, opening advent calendars, reading from the Bible parts of the Christmas story (Jesse tree of Advent) daily, Christmas books around the tree “Tree Time” almost every night, Christmas movies together, Christmas blankets out & used, Christmas Eve’s Eve @ our house, games by the tree, and probably a million more that I can’t think of! A time to really focus on the Lord and having time together as a family.
