Cody is a joy. Feels like we kinda “started over” again ! Ha ha! When Luke came along it had been 6 years since the baby stages so we started over then and after Luke we had Gideon, Titus and Annie Mae pretty close together. Now 4 years later comes Cody Kenneth and we are realizing its a lot of adjusting to the baby stages again. Fun and enjoying it differently because he sure gets A LOT OF LOVE and attention!!! We pulled out the playpen today and rearranged (yet again…. constantly rearranging things….) Cody is 6 months (Oct. 8th) and rolling over so we figured it was time to pull that out. He’s getting his first tooth and starting to sit a little.
We are now going to another church. This was not an easy decision for our family!! 15 years at a church …. it’s hard to leave. CHANGE is hard! However, sometimes we need to make changes in our life so God can grow us and use us more. We are excited about our new church in our own hometown. Brian is already plugged in working on a new website for Heritage Valley Bible. We’ve been going to Tuesday night Bible study too. The kids are loving our new church family as well and making lots of new friends. Makes my heart happy. I miss seeing people at CCC but some of us try to stay in touch. Looking forward to seeing how God uses our family in our new church. Praying that God will show Gregory (19 now) where He wants him to go to church.
I had a rough night last night with Cody waking and just woke tired. Needed some QUIET time at home to dig in to God’s Word and listen to a podcast. I was reminded this morning to PUT JESUS FIRST. We can get so distracted by many things (even good things) and its so important in my life to sit at Jesus’ feet and let Him FILL ME up so I can pour out! Let the OTHER THINGS of this world GO so I can be filled with Him first thing! I’m really striving for God to be the CENTER of our homeschool year too. Starting our days with Him has been the best thing so far this year! Loving it more and more everyday.
