I was excited to take Gregory to the Dodger game last night. Was so much fun just going with him! Memories for a lifetime! He loves the Dodgers and It was a great game. Saw one guy make 3 home runs (Corey Seager) and there was one more home run of the night too! Even though the pitcher Gregory wanted to see wasn’t there he said it was great to see his other guy bat so well!
Something that was very disturbing to both of us is that it was LGBT night at Dodger stadium. WE had no idea of this when we bought tickets. And, YES I had to look LGBT up…. didn’t realize what is actually stood for (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) ! I knew it had something to do with GAY pride but didn’t realize the extent of what it all meant. Before the game they had this kick ball game going on on field with all kinds of LGBT people. There was announcements from them, a whole Aids awareness group, and lots of the people there that identify with this type of life style.
First of all, we were disturbed because why on earth do we need to have a “special” event/treatment for a certain lifestyle?? I mean…. I never see a “natural married’s night” or anything like that.
Second, this type of lifestyle is SIN. Its very uncomfortable seeing it displayed as something to be proud about and something that people think is OK and should be lifted up or put on some kind of pedestal. I know there are many who would disagree. The Bible is the God’s Word and all of it is TRUTH.
I’m Christian, raising our family to stand firm on God’s Word. God tells us it is sin for man to lay with man. The Bible is the only authority.
If you think about it too, its common sense that Men should go with Women and not that of the same sex. I mean just look at how one was made! Its just the way God made us. Certain parts go certain places!
I was thinking about how LGBT people say they are born that way. Sure, this might be true. However, we are all born sinners. Not all of us have a “bend” toward the sin of homosexuality but some do. It is still sin. With Christ one can fight off sinful urges, passions, desires, and temptations. I think these people do have a certain “bend” toward this type of lifestyle. Its not any worse than my sins and the things I struggle with. For us, its more “open” and gross because its something unnatural and we don’t “get it” because it may not be something we struggle with.
We don’t HATE the people. We just hate that this type of SIN is being glorified. For a believer in Jesus and His Word, we don’t want to see any SIN be lifted up. Its not that Christians are haters or un- loving or unkind. No, in fact we’d love to see these people realize the Sin and come to know Jesus as LORD and SAVIOR!
So for us…. this was a FUN baseball game to go to but it was just so sad to see how this world is just going down hill.
I’m sad.
I’m sad because it is only going to get worse. More sin being glorified. More sin being “OK” for people to do.
Pretty soon….. it will be “OK” for one to marry/ have sex with an animal. I’m being serious. Sounds completely disgusting. That is in the Bible too though….. about it being a Sin! God wiped out the sin before when it got so gross (Noah’s time) and the next time…. is when we (the Church, the Christians) get raptured outta here. I can’t wait! I keep hoping it will be soon. However, I kinda think it may be a while. This world may just have to get WORSE and WORSE before God says it’s time.
Until then, we keep raising our kids to know and Love God and hopefully leave a legacy and something they will feel strongly to pass down to their kids and grandkids!
I pray that with a heavy heart. That they will know know know what the Bible says and live it out with God’s help!
