1st day of school

First day of school is so hard. I think its harder on the Mommy than the kids! I love Summer and having you guys home with me to hang out and do fun stuff. I think the first day of school every year is the one time I feel like I wished I home schooled you. I wouldn’t have to let you go, I wouldn’t have to say good bye and watch you walk away from me in the mornings.  You’d get to stay with me all the time.  However, I know this is something I have to do and something God wants for you. He wants you to be a light and I pray that He holds your hand everyday and helps you to shine bright for Him in school! As we talked about last night. Those that know Him are really Aliens in this world. We are here to share what Christ did. Your school is your little battle field and Daddy and I pray for you everyday!
I think this year is especially hard for Mommy because Gregory you are starting Jr. High. Even though I think Jr. High should start in 7th grade (not 6th!!) Its a big step. The next step into growing up and becoming independent! I’m not a big “cryer” about things but watching you leave today to a brand new school for you and taking this next step in growing up,  and I know you were holding back some tears was not an easy thing me!  Love you so much Gregory and I know your love for God is real and strong and I pray He leads and guides you each step this year!
Mr. Adam, you are starting 2nd grade! Seems like it was just kindergarten yesterday.  Wow, time is flying for you too! I know you aren’t as “into” school and have a tough time going, but you will love your teacher Mrs. Wilbur.  She’s super sweet and I love her idea about homework!! Kids and are kids and don’t need to be sent home with a TON of pencil to paper work to do! She’s a great teacher and I think you will be super happy with her! I love you little Adam and hope your first day is awesome! Don’t follow.  Let God lead you and let that little light shine!
Now, I’ve got a ton to do around here and I’ve got my little Luke Samuel to keep me company while we wait for the new little brother to get here! I hope its soon!!
