forgive my cell phone quality pics! I didn’t pull out the camera. Here he is with his wad of cash! |
Gregory did a great job saving up his “spend” money for since last Christmas. He has three places he saves money or spends. One is Savings which goes into his Mutual fund when he reaches $50, the next is tithe (offering), then he has his “wallet spend money” to do with as he wants and spend it on things he wants. He decided to save that spend money and save for an i-pad. We weren’t sure at first if it was something we wanted him to do, but after thinking it over we decided to go ahead and let him. He worked hard to put away his money. Walking Skip, scooping dog poop job, trash can job, extra jobs for us and grandparents, lemonade stand, etc…

Brian and I decided to put 1/2 towards it so that it would be something he would share with his brothers if they wanted a chance to use it. Here he is paying. It took two workers to count it all out. He had pretty much the exact amount, and got a tiny bit of change.

He’s been having fun with it the past couple days (I’ll post a picture soon of him with it). He has to save up money for Apps that he wants but we already had some for our phones so he got to put those on there. He’s excited to get some books on there to to read. He loves having playlists for music too. He’s been enjoying playing WORDS (scrabble) with Daddy, Mommy, Sarah, Hope, Viktor, and Peter so far! I did get him Sketchbook pro and I hope he really learns to use that with his gift of drawing. Its neat for him to have email to email family too. He already has emailed his Granma Hoefler and that will be fun for them to stay in touch better. It basically is a mini computer with a lot of fun features on it. He’s being very careful with it and is hoping for a nice case for his Birthday on the 22nd.
