I love our church so much! We’ve been going to our church in Moorpark (20ish mins from where we live) since Adam was a baby! About 13 years now! Wow time flew! Another thing I said I would NEVER do…… go to church outside the town we live in. God laughs at me, I know He does! The sermon last week was awesome. Pastor Mike talked about the primary Characteristic of a Christian which is Gratitude. We need to be people who focus on the GOOD. Real, true GRATITUDE comes from something undeserved and unexpected. So often we take for granted things in this life and don’t stop to really give thanks and show fourth REAL gratitude! We were challenged to start are day realizing we don’t deserve a thing, He doesn’t owe me a thing and He’s given me EVERYTHING. So true! Such a great way to start off the day (that and prayer of course). The second challenge was to end our day thinking of five blessings and one of those need to always be JESUS (and what He did for me on the cross). I love a good challenge and it truly does make you be a more grateful person overall to start and end each day like this!
We had a great thanksgiving this year. Always a yummy dinner and great family time.
