God has been laying some scripture and devotions in my lap lately that have been VERY comforting during a very stressful and difficult time in our life. We’ve been without a pay check for a couple weeks already. Loads for our Organic Agbusiness are just non-existent right now (hasn’t ever been this bad….). We’ve had our ups and down for sure with Organic Ag, its always provided our income which has been a HUGE blessing. Kraft and Sons (our computer business) has slowly been plugging along for a couple years and now seems to have come to a halt as well. Everything seems to be at a stand still. Why? Only God knows!
While we wonder what He is doing, we trust and have faith that HE IS doing something, He just hasn’t made that known to us yet. There never seems to be EASY answers during life’s difficult trials. We serve a VERY powerful GOOD God though and we know and have faith that He will carry us and help us through this. Sometimes its not as we think it should be. He will provide but maybe its not in the way we were thinking. God is still good though, even when life is hard.
Brian keeps working and thinking hard. He is very open to seeing what God might be asking of him. Doors have closed and none seem to be open yet. Sometimes I think we want answers yesterday and things don’t come as quick as we think we need them.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.”
Our security and our hope is in the Lord and that is comforting. Knowing that He has us in His hands makes us “surefooted as a deer able to tread upon the heights”. Our faith can enable us to live and have confidence that He’s going to pull us through this. Its hard though because we live in this fallen world, we must feed our family, & provide for them.
Waiting is hard.
