We took him back to Dr. Gold today after he screamed for 40 mins after he woke from nap, not drinking, just grumpy (STILL)…. He has STREP THROAT! It didn’t show last Monday because it was too early on.  Then he got the flu on top of it.  Dr. Gold couldn’t give a SHOT of antibiotic (which is what I wanted!!) because he’s allergic to the medication that is in the shot.  He took oral kind before and broke out in a huge rash.  I was bummed about that.  So we are back to the Amoxicillin and hoping he can keep it down and no diarrhea.  He’s eating some rice cereal tonight and some dry cheerios and still sipping on Pedialite. 

With Strep, once he’s on medication for 24 hrs straight he is NOT contagious.  That is good to know.  However, there is a incubation period of 7 days so any of us COULD have it.  Its only spread through the saliva and when he coughs/sneezes.  So I’m hoping we can PREVENT the spread! Praying for that anyway!
