For the past couple months I’ve been trying to get our family to eat healthier and try to make a lot of my meals from scratch and learn about foods and where they come from. It’s been really interesting and often times I have to admit I’m overwhelmed. I’ve always enjoyed cooking and preparing nice sit down family meals. However, I’m desiring to start making a few changes in what we eat. I’m looking into eating more organic foods and making things myself instead of buying pre-made things at the store. My bread is rising at the moment 🙂 Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
I’m working on meal planning at the moment and trying to come up with a big shopping list for a months worth of stuff (besides the normal, milk and produce that you have to go to the store for weekly).
I’m excited that we now have a Farmers Market in town so I can get produce that is fresh and good!
Now, if I can only get my oldest boy (GREGORY) to not be so darn picky!! A friend tells me it might take years…….. LOL 🙂 I guess it has for Brian too. I still can’t believe the stuff he had never tried or didn’t like when we first got married and now its his favorite thing!
I have branched out more from the limited foods I ate as a kid…I was always super picky too (must be a Kraft thing) haha 😉 I'd really like to cook more from scratch and whole foods i.e doing my own french fries baked in the oven from real potatoes…a little more work, but better for you!!!
