Prayer

I have a good friend who just started a home based business. It’s caller Legacy Prayer Journals. These legacy prayer journals are so special because I make one up each year. Each year I have a section for each member in the family (pictures & fill in each page with things to pray for). I love that it has an individual page for each member. We as parents can refer to these pages to pray for our kids or spouse. We love to have family prayer times together. We have had family prayer times together since Gregory was just a babe. This makes it great for the kids because they can be involved and look through the pages with photos of people (family, friends, church leaders, and missionaries). To be able to put a face to who they are praying for really helps them! I use it as a scrapbook to hold cards and notes Brian gives me through the year, pictures the boys draw that I want to keep, other special memories. Then we can go back and see those things, year after year. And best of all see how God answered prayer in our family and the people and things we prayed about! Its a legacy that you can pass down to your kids…. I encourage you to check out her site and get a CD for your family! You can use it year after year and its a great investment for your family!

Tonight I stayed home from Awana with Adam. We were pretty tired from Disneyland today. We pulled out the prayer journal and I tried to jot down EXACTLY what he listed out to pray for. It was pretty cute:

  1. “I wanna pray for like a new baby since your other baby died. For God to make a new one for us to have”
  2. “For me to think good things, not scary things. Not scary thing things like ghosts”
  3. “For Granma, her legs not to hurt”
  4. Thank you for helping Nana be ok for her surgery”
  5. Thank you for a fun time at Disneyland today”
