Went by to see Pop today.  He seemed I’m really excited to see Annie Mae today.   He asked Luke “How is Luke today”?  Shows no real emotion though about anything.  Doesn’t seem to smile much.  Not eating much at all.  We had brought him a homemade enchilada and he ate a bite or two only.

We are not sure if it is the many little strokes that Pop had that is causing him not to be himself or if this is in fact dementia related.  Perhaps a combo? Its been a rough road seeing him like this.  Mom has been amazing to spend a lot of time there with Pop, trying to get him to eat and often times going more than once a day.

As we look back we can think of subtle things at home that could have been little strokes maybe?  He’d be less talk-a-tive and sometimes grumpy (or so we thought) or stare off and we just chalked it up to him having a bad day or something.  Maybe it was something going on inside of him?! There really isn’t any way to tell for sure.  Seems though that once he hit the hospital he was on a more downward spiral and just got worse faster.
