LegoLand and family fun………

Since our sweet Titus joined us this Summer we didn’t take a “vacation”.  So, decided to take the kids to Legoland for a couple days over October break since our beach trip didn’t work out for this time.

We decided to go ahead and make the DRIVE down on Wed night since we found a hotel for a great deal near Legoland.  Promised the boys a night swim.  Well that probably wasn’t the BEST idea.  Wisking Gideon up from nap, throwing him in the car for a 3 hr drive, and then arriving at bedtime to go swimming (which he LOVED and the other boys did too…..).  Tho our night was LONG because Gideon would not go to bed even though he was extremely tired! I mean extremely! With Gideon being on Keppra, the one side effect that we can tell is that he does get tired and is READY for nap and BED at his sleep time!!! Most of the time he’s leaping into bed.  But it was a long night Wed night.  We are talking past 11:00 and for a kid who goes to bed at 7:30…… that’s late.  So he woke tired.  And the first day at Legoland was more like this…………

Not a lot made him happy!  But we carried on the best we could to make it enjoyable for the rest!!

One thing that made Gideon light up was the WATER!!! He laughed and smiled and was so thrilled! Yup, we let him get wet! Soaked! He, Adam and Luke all got soaked in their clothes.  I forgot about this small water area…….. but it was nice for Gideon to have something to get to do! I was disappointing that so many of the rides that could totally be FINE for Gideon…. he couldn’t even go on!!! So that was a bummer.

All the boys love Lego’s so this was lots of fun!! Since we got the key to the LEGOLAND hotel when we got there on Thur. morning we decided to head to the hotel for naps after lunch and get the three little ones down for naps.  Gregory worked over an HOUR on his “spooky” Lego design for the competition they had at the hotel.  He didn’t win but did a COOL design! 🙂

Our room was all PIRATE SHIP themed and was super cool.  I kinda wished I had brought my good camera.  They sent the boys on a “treasure hunt” to get the CODE for the chest in the room.   Once the boys found all the numbers they opened the chest and each got a mini fig and some gold coins.

Titus was the best little baby! He just hung out and loved watching everything! As long as he got his naps and some mommy milk he was FINE!

Luke was very impressed with the BUFFALO made out of Legos and said we had to snap a pic of the buffalo buns for Granma (kind of an inside joke between the two of them…)

Titus loves his finger and sucks it all the time.  He loves to be next to Mommy in the carrier too.

Took the boys back to the park after the littles were down for a nap.  Brian stayed behind to RELAX and watch golf.  I’m sure he enjoyed the quiet relax time. 🙂  We had fun going around together.
