I have not yet posted about Adam and won’t go into great details here. He’s been struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and it began this Summer. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs with this but things are going ok. He and I meet with a psychologist and that has been helping a lot. We are working though this. I’m discovering too that he is a HSC (Highly Sensitive Child) and really can get overloaded even with the “good” things in life. So we are trying to relieve any stress and give him time at home scheduled out each day to wind down!! We took down his bunk bed because this was causing some issues with waking up Luke in the night (creaking and moving up on top) and he now has a neat little futon bed on the floor that changes into a chair that he just loves! Its made more ROOM in their room too which has been great!!
He’s got a GREAT teacher this year that is working with us. Brian and I met with her today. Adam has been having a tough year with staying on task and focused (partly due to the OCD). However, the past two days have been great. We’ve covered him with lots of prayer and lots of PRAISE for doing so well. We came up with a plan at school for getting work done, behavior, and homework. I can’t express enough how I love some of our public school teachers!! She’s a Christian too and that is a super big blessing for Adam and our family! She’s working with Adam and this is a great thing!!! So happy!
If you think of Adam…. just pray for him to stay focused, have self control at school and at home, and for his mind to be clear of thoughts about germs/sickness.

Took Gideon to the hearing Conservation to test his hearing. He’s at
about a 40% hearing because we found out he has tons of fluid and an ear
infection. The test can’t be accurate until his ears clear up. He’s
been super cranky for a couple weeks so this explains it!! I think the
combo of fluid in the ears, infection now, cough and 2 yr molars coming
in is just too much and making him a GRUMP! We saw the neurologist the
other day and she thinks he is doing fine and once we hit Jan (year mark
with no seizures) we will start to wean him off of the Keppra
medication. However, she did NOT up the dose so he is already weaning
himself because he is growing out of the dose he is on right now.
Gideon had his two year check with the therapists that see him and he’s
delayed still but improving. He really doesn’t say a bunch of words yet
but he loves his therapy times when they come to our house to work with
him.
Praying for our sweet Gideon to return soon! And that we can get this test done to check his hearing.
