Sickness … blah!

Gregory had been dealing with a cough type sickness for a few days before Superbowl Sunday.  He even went to bed that night with a fever still of 102.4.  The cough was his main problem.  Monday he woke fine (except for the lingering cough).  I started feeling it in my chest on Sunday evening and the aches came on.  I knew something was wrong.  It did hit hard.  Worst couple nights of my life, I think! The body aches, deep cough, asthma flare ups, almost fainting and fever. Levi my brother had this a few weeks ago and actually was rushed to the ER.  They said he got their JUST IN TIME.  He has asthma bad and it was so out of control due to his illness. He’s better and doing well.  Today I woke and actually felt some better except for my cough was worse and ribs were aching so bad from the cough attacks.  Saw our family dr. who I actually haven’t seen since 2009.  Yeah, we don’t go to the dr. much! ha ha! It wasn’t the “FLU” that you can get the shot for.  He gave me an antibiotic, new inhaler, and told me about sudafed (to get it behind the counter at the pharmacy).
Luke and Brian both woke sick Monday and Brian was still sick today.  However both of them seem better today too.  Luke and I spent most of the past two days watching cartoons lounging on the couch.  “GIRL” makes him HAPPY and it made me happy to see him have some JOY in the day when he was so sick!
Both Gideon and Adam had the flu shot.  Adam gets asthma bad like me and Gideon, well with his seizures we just wanted him to have to too.  Luke was going to get it but they had ran out.  Turns out though that I didn’t even have that “type” of flu anyway.  It sure has been AWFUL.  I can’t THANK BRIAN enough for all his HELP! Oh my goodness, he truly awesome! Even when he was sick and saying “I feel ok”, he would be running around helping in any way he could.  Truly and unselfish Christ like guy! Love you babe and thank you and to my Mom who got me things, took kids to school, and took me to the Dr. today.  LOVE YOU Mom! Luke was a super HELPER too!!! Just ready to get me whatever I needed (even though he was feeling bum!) Now, to continue to heal and oh how I HOPE TO SLEEP TONIGHT! Last night I couldn’t breathe and I’m so glad we have a nebulizer because I’m sure I would have been going to the ER if we didn’t have one!
