We were trying to figure out how to organize the millions of Lego’s the boys have. So we decided to get one of those container things with drawers on it. We separated them out by color, and then the “sets” that they have we put in ziplocks and they are all in the bottom drawer. All the booklets that come with the sets are easy to loose! So we got a binder and slipped them into protectors to keep them all together in one spot! This will make it more fun to play and easy to keep things together rather than all over the place!

Might use some plastic paint to paint the drawers as well.

They must REALLY LIKE legos. 🙂
You know… kind of comes and goes! Right now… they are both into building with legos. I bought at a garage sale once a big box full of odds and ends legos, so some of these are from that. They for Christmas they got a boxset of building blocks and then Gregory got a couple sets (fire truck ones… etc..) So they have a lot and we just needed it to be easier to play with 🙂
That is BRILLIANT. I think I might talk to Mike about doing that. AJ plays with almost nothing BUT legos. It’s his favorite thing and we have so many. We don’t generally keep all the sets together because he likes to make them once and then just build amazing things from his brain. LOL
Still though, we have them in those tubs they come in and it’s jut NOT working out well. LOL

Yeah the boys like to get creative too… but they do like to build the sets back the way they are “suppose” to be so I thought I better keep them somewhat together 🙂 In the odds and ends drawer I really want to look into those drawer organizer thing and put one of those in there to separate people, flowers, windows, doors etc…
I’m jealous! I tried keeping them separate from day 1 so that they’d always be easy to find, however, I was outvoted by my husband and son! Skyler tried to go along with me at first, but dad said it’s better all mixed up- *sigh*. He does do some pretty amazing things form his brain, too, but I’d still like to keep the sets together so he can make them easier without always calling mom to come help find one piece… among the hundreds…
I found an extra one of those drawer things around the house so we all spent about an hour dividing the legos up today.
The kids LOVE it. I love it because they don’t dump everything out to look for things!
