10 years ago today….

I nervously went on my very first date ever!!! We met in the parking lot at Ventura College, and Brian being the sweet gentleman that he is, greeted me and opened my door for me. Off we went to Camarillo. Our date started out with a tour of Camarillo, since I didn’t really know Camarillo at all and we were stalling time for the movie to start. Then Brian taught me to drive his stick shift car in a parking lot. That was fun. Honey, you still need to finish teaching me! I can’t drive his stick shift! Then off to see a movie called EVER AFTER. We then had lunch at Denny’s. It was so much fun! I remember eating at lunch and thinking in my head “hmmm this could be the man that I marry”! Little did I know……. an EXACT year later we were having our wedding rehearsal for our wedding the very next day 🙂 I’m having trouble finding my journal that I wrote everything down in! I have a lot of them, but this particular one was when we dated I haven’t located yet. Gotta find that, cause I’m sure I’m leaving some special detail out

I just needed to take a moment to think about God’s blessings. This week has been full of sadness in our hearts, so I needed to take this time to reflect on some fun times. Today I’m reminded of how much fun we had 10 years ago! Being married to Brian is one of the biggest blessings in my life. Sharing these sweet memories with you sweetie is something special. I love you and can’t wait to make many more fond memories with you! Tomorrow ….. 9 years married, can you believe it?!

It has been 10 very fun years since then!! Time flies so fast! I’m sure that the next 10 years are going to be even better. God has blessed our marriage so much and our love has definitely grown over the years and I know will continue to grow each day!

Not sure about finishing those driving lessons though…. hmmmmm…. I’ll have to think about that.

Why will you not teach me??? Is it because I cost you $200 + that 2nd time you tried to teach me and I messed it up? You know… that was your car… not my fault! Wasn’t it?? We can go up to the cemetery and try it? Come on!! What if an emergency came up and I needed to drive your car?

Awe, you made my eyes well up! You guys are so cute! I have that movie, Ever After, I love it… lol! 🙂 & to answer your question, yes, I am having a blast with Photoshop. My version doesn't have any templates (that I know of) for this type of thing, so I have to do it all by hand with layers… but I don't mind. I am just glad that I am learning how to do it.

I am cracking up, Spring, I learned to drive stick at the cemetery. My dad just gave me the keys and said, ‘drive up to the cemetery and figure it out.’ So maybe you should try that. 😉

  7. What a wonderful day you both were able to enjoy together! You are so right to be thankful for the little things, the small blessing God will allow you to see each minute, each day. That will be so important in the days ahead. You are all in our constant prayers….
