This year I’m taking a cool idea from my friends blog. She did this last year. I want to share a new tradition, ornament or special Christmas Memory each day. Hopefully I can keep up and do it each day.
TODAY is DECEMBER 1st.
Something we do as a family every year, and normally it is on DECEMBER 1st. It’s called TREE DAY! Our family goes to Green Thumb and gets a real Christmas tree. We always go with Granma and Pop, Peter, Tracy, Hope & fam, Levi and Faith. This year Faith won’t be there. I will be sure to add pictures to this post when we get back later this evening!

When we get home, we always DECORATE. This year it was sort of late and the boys didn’t get to bed ’til 9:30 which is really late for them (normal bed is between 7 and 8 for them)
We all had fun though!
The FINISHED TREE! Hmmmm I’m seeing too many blue lights at the bottom, gonna have to fix that. Click to enlarge
Yes I did get back my tree…now I see proof by the picture with mom that she did for sure have my tree. I know I was picky this year because I wanted a nice full one that would fit my big space for a tree. And it’s always nice to get what I paid for. lol Your tree looks nice. I wish I had a better camera that would take a better picture of our tree at night…maybe you’ll have to come over some evening to do it for us.
WOW, 7 or 8? Really? I think I am the worst about bedtimes. Then again we would likely go to bed earlier if we had to get out the door to school. Your tree looks beautiful! I am about to post mine soon,.
Honestly… even if I homeschooled…I would want them in bed at least by 8:00. Brian and I enjoy our evenings together after they are all snug in bed! 🙂 We have a routine and they are pretty good about it (most of the time!)
I agree..it’s so nice when the kids are in bed. I too like our time to watch a movie, talk, etc without having the kids around. Gosh if I homeschooled they’d be in bed by 6. lol
LOL Hope!
