Everything is moving along smoothly so far. We are still very much hoping that we will close before the 8th! We got a carpet quote and are going to get a second quote from Home Depot on Monday. Hoping to get it a little less if we can. We decided to hire out the work to get the popcorn ceiling removed since it might have asbestos in it. We found a guy to give us a great deal on that. Hoping to start work soon on the house!
So did HD give you a lower quote on the carpet?
I didn’t even think about the popcorn ceiling. I grew up with it in my parent’s house, and looking up…we have it here too. If I were planning to paint I’m sure I would want it removed though.
Oh, and if you close escrow on the 8th, when will you move in? will you do the work that it needs first, or move in right away…that’s Mother’s day weekend you know.
