Thanks to Rocco we got the cabinets and counter tops finished today! Such a blessing to us that we had such great help! He’s got so many tools and is very handy and knows what he’s doing! Now we just need to finish many things! Tomorrow the plumber is coming to hook up the sink, dishwasher etc… A couple PRO’s to the new house that we we just love! We have water pressure! Oh my goodness!! Most people take this for granted! But it is so nice! I can get laundry done in a whiz now and showers have never been so great! And water even comes out of the hose….. not just dripping, but pressure! Wow! Also, it seems so nice to have a lot of space! Can’t wait to get everything put away and looking like OUR HOME soon!! Seems like it might be a while…..
You can see we need to finish the cabinets…. All in time!
Brian put up a closet organizer for our Master bedroom!
Gregory still doesn’t have his part of the bunk…. hopefully soon! The chair rail is up in part of the room and I hope to decorate as soon as the beds get completely in!
Hall closet full of games, vacuum and wrapping paper stuff. Nice to have a place for all this stuff now! We sure have a lot of games! Anyone up for a game night?!
Can’t wait to decorate! We still need the moulding and baseboards. Pop is making us a mantel and we should have it by Christmas to hang the stockings on! 🙂 I need curtain help!! All our curtains from the old house are too short!! I can’t decide how I want to do them in the living room! I wonder if shutters would be cute?!

used to have plantation shutters in my house in cali… loved them! Don't know what they would cost though! Or just shop around for curtains, by a few different panels & try them out (seems like they all come in either 64 or 84 inch length, you probably need the 84 inch ones)… then return the ones you don't like. Thats what I did. Is that bad? LOL! Kmart or Target had the best deals/selection in my experience. Good luck… this is the fun part of moving!!

It's looking really great! I wish we had some of that talent/expertise to fix up our new place- wherever it will be! We are going to have to rely on lots of outside help! 🙂

oh man!! How I wish I could!!! I was frustrated about curtains too… shopped around forever & finally figured it out. Well, at least in the living room anyway. (I still have more rooms to do). There's info online about how to measure your windows. Also, you can order curtains online… brylane home & overstock.com have good selections, but like I said the best prices seemed to be Kmart or Target & I wanted to "try them out" first. I ended up returning the ones from kmart & keeping the ones from Target. I don't think I ever put a pick up.. I should do that. Ok, I am rambling… good luck. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any more Q's! =)

actually I looked back in my old posts & there is a pic of the living room w/the curtains open, but I have moved stuff around, gotten an area rug in there, etc. so it looks different now. I'll have to take a new pic… anyway, glad you guys are moved in… doesn't it just feel GREAT????

Maybe some of the curtains could be cut to be valances at the top of the windows if you get some kind of blinds. That's if the color matches what you want to do now… Or used in other rooms instead. Everything looks great!
