Hope and I were brainstorming some fun stuff to do this Summer that wouldn’t cost a TON of money and that would be fun for our kids to do together. I came up with the idea of a “beach day” (not sure where the BEACH came into it… but it sounded fun) at Pop and Granma’s house with activities, swimming and maybe a bounce house! My mom and Dad thought the idea would be fun. So we made up invitations and made it official. The bounce house prices seemed to be a lot higher though so thankfully we were all able to split the cost and go in together (Thanks Pop and Mom)! It was so much fun. The day seemed to fly by. The kids repeatedly said it was the funnest they they had had all summer! By the end of the day they were all sooo tired and went to bed VERY early!
The bounce house was a HIT! Thanks Mom for upgrading to one with a slide. These guys jumped sooo much all day. Best part is that the guy didn’t come until the next day after lunch to pick it up, so they got to jump more!!
They all got out build a bear stuff and played with all their special friends.
On Organic Ag’s lunch break, Levi and Brian took a few jumps and had fun too!
Luke LOVED the bounce house. Although we had to tone it down to let him just roam around on his own with out all the bouncers in there.
For the science part of our day we made goop. It was fun. Everyone picked a different color and got to bring it home. For the craft we did beads and made a necklace or bracelet. We didn’t get to coloring books and painting (we will have to save that for another day).
Afternoon snack! Thanks Pop for picking up the watermelon for us!
The “life guards” on duty for beach day
Desert. They got to decorate cookies with frosting and sprinkles! Yum and Fun!
I think this is something that we may have to do yearly! It sure makes it EASY since we are all right next door! 🙂
What a great idea! I am sure that the kids will always remember this.
