Steak anyone?

My little Gregory is gonna be 11 tomorrow! Wow, his childhood is going fast!! Long time ago he requested that we go out for a STEAK dinner! I thought I’d ask my Dad if he would BBQ steaks just for our little family and they could eat too. And its going to be cheaper than actually going “out to eat” for steaks.
So today Luke and I went with Pop and bought a HUGE Rib eye thing of meat. Pop cut off 7 steaks and I have either two prime ribs I can cook or cut them into steaks. They went into my freezer. Steaks are all cut for tomorrow. We’ll eat down at Mom’s  but I’m cooking all the sides. I just “hired” Pop to BBQ for me since Gregory loves his BBQ steaks best. We’ll have Salad, Corn on the Cobb (got all the stuff at the Fillmore Farmers Market yesterday), Garlic bread and Mashed Potatoes. Hope Gregory likes it!!

Luke was sooo funny in the market calling out for “POP”. We also got to run to Green Thumb and I got some flowers for the yard. Now to get everything ready for the party tomorrow. I’m soooo thankful Brian and I agree to just do family parties and not big parties with friends over.

Happy birthday to Gregory tomorrow! I hope he likes his steak!

You can easily do family birthdays because you have so much family in the area. Since we have practically no family near by, we do have friend birthday parties for Ben some years. We didn't this year though. Instead, he got to choose one friend to go with him to the fair. It was nice and low key. And last year he had a party at a local splash park but no presents for him. He just had friends bring stuff for soldiers that we mailed off.
