Gideon is 6 weeks old today. It flew like it always does each week. Its been a bit difficult this time around, only because Gideon really likes to be held when he’s awake. I do so LOVE to hold this sweet baby. I love nursing and rocking my babies. He’s just very fussy if I’m not holding him. I’m thinking he’ll “outgrow” this and start to enjoy his bouncer seat more soon. Gideon is a great little sleeper though. He normally takes two naps and a cat nap during the day. At night he wakes once or twice and eats then back to bed, which is a blessing. We find that warming the bassinet with the heating pad before we lay him down will help him lay down good and sleep better.

We had our 6 week check up today! He is weighing in at 11 pounds 6 ounces. Got some advise from the midwife (can I just say I love my midwifes!? It is like going to an appt to just visit and chat with a friend, so different than a Dr. appt. Just love it!) that he’s probably taking in a lot of air when he eats (he makes a loud clicking sound) because of the way he eats and his big gulps! We are gonna try some cumin seed drops to help. Also will try tummy massage on him to help get that air out. I may just wear him a lot as well in my Ktan around the house and when we walk until he gets better with his gas/burps.

Luke is especially sweet to Gideon. Always bringing him dino’s and other toys trying to help make him happy. He never really wants to hold him, but we captured a sweet moment of him wanting to with Daddy this week. He calls him “Giddi” (Gideon) and “Bay”(Baby)
