just another day………….

The boys worked hard got everything cleaned up  before we left yesterday.  My first “adventure” out with all of them.  Well, almost all! Gregory and Adam wanted to get their remote control cars fixed at the hobby store in TO and I had planned to take them to lunch for a treat.  Brian offered to have Gideon come play at the office to help a little.  See below, don’t you love the way he “helps” ?

Then we headed out.  Got over the hill onto Spring Street in Moorpark across the main light and Luke said “throw up” I thought he had thrown up already but he was telling me he needed to, so I tried to pull over fast.  Didn’t stop fast enough. He threw up a ton in the car all over himself, car seat and car.

There was no way we could continue on to Thousand Oaks.  I had no clothes, nothing to clean him up with.  So we headed back home.  Didn’t get the boys cars fixed didn’t get to go to lunch like we had planned. πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜” Total bummer for them and I felt bad but there was nothing I could do.  Brian brought Gideon home for me, and took the car seat out, while I cleaned up Luke’s clothes and put Luke in the bath. The boys left with Brian to be dropped off to play Tennis at the courts in town and he brought them home at lunch time.

I dealt with bath, nursing baby who wanted to be held, and Gideon crying and fussing.  Gideon is in the middle of getting TWO YEAR MOLARS (and he’s been like this a lot because of it).

He was hungry and tired at this time too.  Stopped feeding baby set him in swing so I could calm Gideon and read

to him and then laid him down for an earlier afternoon nap since he missed the morning one.  Titus screaming in swing that has quit working.  I had to run down to Mom’s to get a 7-up for Luke because he said he was sooo hungry and thirsty.  I had nothing like that on hand.  He drank a lot and ate fishies.  Still hungry.  So he had a little lunch once I got Gideon down for nap.  Got Titus up.  Held him (love this).

He just snuggled down to sleep.  Boys got home so it was time for naps for Luke, Titus and maybe me.

Gregory and Adam played a video game to stay quiet and we took a nap.

Luke, seems fine.  No more throw up.  No fever! Motion sickness over the hill??  That is what we think since this isn’t the FIRST time he’s said “throw up”.  It was just the first time he actually did throw up!

So thankful a while back we bought a neat carpet cleaner.  Brian deep cleaned the seats and rugs in the car and it looks brand new πŸ™‚ And smells fresh too!

The end of the day was crazy too and Gideon was in tears going to bed (which never happens).  So he was up late and we read stories and snuggled before bed.

A friend posted on facebook a great verse in 2 Corinthians and it made me pull out my Bible and read a few more.  Really was a great read for me last night.  Some days I just cry and feel helpless but really these things are small and won’t last long. There is a PURPOSE for any of life’s sufferings.  I need to FIX my thoughts on things that I can not see.  See my daily struggles and trials as opportunities to bring Glory to God (that will last forever).  Knowing what Christ did for me and knowing that there is life after death for me can make me stronger, and able to get through these daily challenges.  Even on more tough days than others! I just pray that I can remember this daily!

“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

Just wondering about it being motion sickness with Luke. Laura had it (maybe still does) and I know Kevin too, and maybe some of his family. Hooray for Brian on the cleanup! Sounds like a crazy day, but glad Luke is well and hope those teeth come in soon for poor Gideon!

Thought I commented to this, but maybe it didn't go through. Luke could have had motion sickness. Laura did (maybe still does) and I think Kevin and others in his family do.
